Judge Dunne Switches Parties

Today, Judge Larry Dunne, Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4 (representing the greater Elgin/McDade area), filed as a Republican for re-election.  This represents the first time to my knowledge that an incumbent officeholder who has been previously elected as a Democrat has sought re-election as a Republican in our County.

We are honored that he has sought our party's nomination.  We welcome anyone who considers themselves a conservative and finds themselves at home with our party's philosophy.
