The Governor is Coming

Bastrop County Republican Party will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth. As the first Republican elected to the Presidency, he also helped birth the Republican Party.

May 12, 2009, starting at 6:00 p.m. we are having a dinner in Lincoln's honor at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort. Governor Rick Perry will be our keynote speaker, and we have asked him to address his views of how conservative principles at work in Texas have insulated us from many hardships that other states are facing right now.

This is a fundraiser dinner for our local party from which we hope to build steam for the 2010 elections. Invitations have been sent out, but this event is open to all whether or not you receive an invitation.

To register, go to www.bastroplincolndinner.com. Join with us May 12 to honor a great President, to consider how conservative principles help average people, and to help fund that message for the next election cycle.

Albert L. Ellison, Chairman
Bastrop County Republican Party
